Iran launched a fresh wave of missile attacks on ‘Israel’ early Sunday, with air raid sirens sounding across multiple areas including Dimona and Beersheba, according to the 'Israeli' military.

The 'Israeli' home front command confirmed alerts in Dimona and surrounding areas, as defenses tracked incoming missiles targeting southern regions. No immediate casualties were reported in the latest strikes, though explosions were heard across the area.

Escalation After University Strike

The new attacks come a day after strikes hit Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran, causing significant damage, according to Iranian media and widely circulated footage showing debris and heavy smoke inside the campus.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a warning threatening to target Israeli and US-affiliated universities in the region.

“If the US government wants to avoid retaliatory strikes against these universities, it must officially condemn the bombing of universities before Monday,” the IRGC said in a statement.

The group also advised staff, faculty, and students at US-linked universities in the Gulf to stay at least one kilometer away from potential targets.

Rising Tensions Across the Region

Sirens were also activated late Saturday across southern ‘Israel’, including Eilat, the Negev, the Dead Sea, and Wadi Araba, after early detection of missile launches from Iran. 'Israeli' media reported two waves of missiles, with no confirmed casualties.

Earlier Saturday, five people were injured west of Jerusalem after Iranian missiles struck as alarms sounded across wide areas from the south to central regions, including the greater Tel Aviv area.

Ongoing War

Since February 28, the United States and ‘Israel’ have been engaged in a direct war with Iran, involving large-scale airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites. The conflict has killed hundreds, including senior Iranian officials, while Tehran continues to respond with missile and drone attacks toward ‘Israel’.

Iran has also targeted what it says are US-linked sites and interests in Arab countries, though some strikes have caused civilian casualties and damage, drawing condemnation from affected states.
