  • Newly released US Justice Department documents show former 'Israeli' Prime Minister Ehud Barak and his wife repeatedly stayed in a New York apartment owned by Jeffrey Epstein.
  • Emails reveal logistical and travel arrangements but no evidence Barak engaged in criminal activity.

The US Justice Department on Friday released documents from the Epstein files, confirming that former 'Israeli' Prime Minister Ehud Barak and his wife, Nili Priel, stayed multiple times at a New York apartment owned by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The documents include email correspondence and memos providing additional details about the nature of their interactions, which Barak has previously acknowledged. The release is part of a larger cache of more than 3 million pages mentioning other high-profile figures, including Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Bill Clinton.

Emails Show Travel and Apartment Logistics

In emails from May 2017, Priel informed Epstein that she and Barak would temporarily leave the apartment to travel to Harvard University and requested that cleaning be arranged during their absence. Epstein forwarded the request to an associate, who confirmed it would be handled the following day.

Additional correspondence shows Epstein’s assistant, Lesley Groff, coordinating practical arrangements, including upgrading the apartment’s cable box to an Apple TV system. Regular emails track travel plans and meetings between the Baraks and Epstein while in New York.

Barak Denies Any Knowledge of Criminal Conduct

Barak has said he first met Epstein in 2003 and continued limited contact even after Epstein became a registered sex offender following a 2008 plea deal in Florida. Barak has repeatedly denied witnessing or participating in any illegal or inappropriate activity.

Epstein’s Conviction and Death

Epstein was convicted in 2008 for procuring a minor for prostitution in Florida, a plea many critics called a “sweetheart deal.” He was later arrested on federal sex trafficking charges and found dead in a New York City jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial.

Victims allege Epstein operated a vast trafficking network involving wealthy and political elites, and the Justice Department’s latest documents continue to reveal the extent of his connections.
