'Israeli' soldier killed in Gaza's Khan Younis
Hebrew media reported the killing of an 'Israeli' soldier during what it described as a “serious security incident” in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
The term “serious security incident” is commonly used by Hebrew outlets when Palestinian resistance factions carry out operations that result in 'Israeli' military casualties.
Despite 'Israel’s' ground incursion into large areas of Gaza, its forces have so far failed to halt resistance operations targeting troops and military sites inside the Strip, as well as the sporadic rocket fire that continues to reach 'Israeli' towns and cities.

Since the start of the war on Gaza in 2023, the 'Israeli' army has acknowledged the deaths of 898 soldiers and the wounding of 6,196 others, according to figures published on its official website. However, Hamas and its allies claim the actual toll is significantly higher.
Under heavy military censorship, the army has faced domestic accusations of hiding the true scale of its human and material losses to preserve troop morale, while continuing its war on Gaza since October 7, 2023. The campaign, marked by mass killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement in defiance of international appeals and International Court of Justice rulings, has according to Gaza health authorities killed 62,622 Palestinians and wounded 157,673, mostly women and children, with more than 10,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has already claimed 263 lives, including 112 children.

Palestinian resistance factions urged urgent international action after the UN confirmed famine in Gaza, accusing the 'Israeli' army of waging a genocidal war as it prepares to assault Gaza City. They called on the international community, Arab and Islamic states, and global supporters to break the blockade, establish safe corridors, and deliver aid, warning civilians face death by starvation.
