Outlander star Caitriona Balfe calls out BBC over coverage of 'Israeli' settlements
Irish actress Caitriona Balfe, best known for her role as Claire Fraser in the series Outlander, used her Instagram story to criticize the BBC’s reporting on 'Israel's' expansionist projects in the West Bank.
The actress, who boasts a large following on social media, accused the broadcaster of complicity in shaping a narrative that she believes misrepresents the story.
Balfe reposted the BBC article titled “Israel approves controversial West Bank settlement project” and added her own commentary on the story.
“@bbc the law may be controversial to some but it is still a law. These settlements are illegal. Fix your language,” she wrote.
Balfe, a vocal supporter of humanitarian causes, has previously leveraged her platform to advocate for refugee relief and environmental charities. Her latest statement aligns with her history of speaking out on global issues, though this marks a more direct critique of a major media outlet.
