Two 'Israelis' hospitalized after paintball confrontation with 15-year-old in Netherlands

Two 'Israeli' men were injured during a paintball match at a holiday park in Westerhoven, Netherlands, after an argument with a group of Dutch tourists escalated into a physical confrontation, Dutch authorities reported Friday.

The victims, aged 37 and 41, were treated by paramedics on site. One sustained a serious head injury. A 15-year-old Dutch boy was arrested for assault following the incident.

“Apparently, an argument broke out between two groups over the way the game was being played. This escalated into a brawl that spilled onto a terrace,” police said in a statement.

Police have not suggested any motive and emphasized that investigations are ongoing.

The 'Israeli' government, however, drew parallels with a violent incident in Amsterdam last year involving 'Israeli' soccer fans.

“Israel calls on the Government of the Netherlands to come to its senses and act resolutely to prevent attacks on Israelis in its territory, to locate the criminals, and to bring them to justice,” the 'Israeli' Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on social media.

Authorities noted that dozens were arrested and five people were hospitalized after a series of violent incidents following a November match between Dutch team Ajax and 'Israel’s' Maccabi Tel Aviv.
