A specialized medical team at the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/7 successfully saved the life of a 19-year-old Palestinian man by performing a complex, five-hour brain surgery, the hospital announced.

Doctors said the patient arrived in critical condition with a severe head injury after shrapnel penetrated his skull, causing acute bleeding under the dura mater. The neurosurgeon leading the procedure explained that immediate surgical intervention was required.

During the operation, the team opened the skull, drained the bleeding, and removed blood clots. The doctor confirmed that the timely response was crucial in preventing life-threatening complications. The patient was closely monitored in intensive care before being discharged in stable condition.

The hospital’s commander said the operation reflects the royal directives of King Abdullah II to provide the highest level of humanitarian and medical care to Palestinians in Gaza amid the ongoing war.

The patient’s family expressed deep gratitude to King Abdullah II and praised the efforts of the Jordanian medical staff for their dedication in easing the suffering of Gaza’s residents.
