Several major airlines have announced new suspensions of flights to 'Israel' following a missile attack on Ben-Gurion Airport by Yemen's Houthi movement earlier today.

  • Wizz Air has suspended its flights to 'Israel' for 48 hours.
  • Lufthansa has canceled its Tel Aviv flights until May 6.
  • British Airways has suspended its Tel Aviv flights until May 7.
  • Air India has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until May 6.

These suspensions add to previous announcements by other international carriers:

  • Virgin Atlantic permanently canceled its London Heathrow-Tel Aviv route in May 2025, citing security concerns due to the ongoing 'Israel's' genocide in Gaza.
  • American Airlines has not operated flights to 'Israel' since 2023, and in November 2024, it announced it would delay resuming services until at least September 2025.
  • United Airlines canceled all flights to 'Israel' in August 2024, with no set return date amid continued regional instability.
  • Delta Air Lines suspended its flights in July 2024, effective August 2024, with plans to resume New York-JFK to Tel Aviv flights on April 1, 2025.
  • Austrian Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, suspended its Vienna-Tel Aviv route in August 2024, with plans for a February 2025 resumption.
  • Brussels Airlines, also under the Lufthansa Group, halted its Brussels-Tel Aviv flights in August 2024, set to resume in February 2025.
  • FlyDubai canceled some Tel Aviv flights in August 2024 but continues operating select routes.
  • easyJet extended its suspension of Tel Aviv flights until March 29, 2025, following an earlier halt in October 2023.

'Israel's ongoing genocide on Gaza, compounded by Houthi attacks, continues to disrupt 'Israel’s' aviation sector, isolating the country and straining its economy.
