Yemen's Houthi movement claimed the missile strike on "Israel’s" primary international airport, Ben Gurion, describing the operation as part of its ongoing support for Palestinians in Gaza.

In an official statement, the group claimed its missile forces had targeted the airport with what it described as a "hypersonic ballistic missile."

"The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport," the group stated.

"Israel’s" Channel 12 reported on Sunday morning that all incoming and outgoing flights at Ben Gurion International Airport were suspended following a missile attack launched from Yemen.

The channel confirmed that explosions were heard near the airport, triggering panic and sending millions rushing to shelters.

According to media reports, the ballistic missile launched from the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, succeeded in breaching "Israel’s" air defense systems, leading to the suspension of air traffic at the airport.
