60,000 children malnourished in Gaza as 'Israel' continues to block aid

At least 60,000 children in the Gaza Strip are facing severe malnutrition, risking serious health complications, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. This comes as Israeli Occupation’s blockade on humanitarian aid to the strip continues, with no aid delivered since March 2, 2025.

The ongoing blockade has worsened conditions for the 2.3 million residents of Gaza, with essential supplies like food, medical aid, and water severely restricted. The Ministry of Health warned that the lack of adequate nutrition, clean water, and the continued ban on vaccinations, especially for polio, would exacerbate health challenges for children in Gaza.

The situation is dire, with 21 nutrition centers shut down and about 350 already severely malnourished children unable to receive necessary care. The United Nations (UN) and World Food Programme (WFP) have repeatedly stated that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is rapidly deteriorating, with hundreds of thousands facing hunger.

Furthermore, 'Israeli' forces have disrupted the water supply by halting the flow of water from the 'Israeli' company Mekorot, which provides around 70% of Gaza's total water needs. This has led to fears of an imminent water crisis in the area.

Despite proposals from Israeli Occupation to introduce a new aid mechanism to monitor aid delivery, the UN has stated there is no evidence that aid is being diverted by Hamas, as claimed by Israeli Occupation. The humanitarian community has warned that every day without basic supplies is bringing Gaza closer to a devastating hunger crisis.
