Houthis claim drone strikes on "Israeli", US military targets
Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed responsibility for a series of drone strikes targeting "Israeli" and American military assets, in what it described as a response to the ongoing war on Gaza and a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the group said its aerial forces had launched a drone attack on what it described as an "Israeli" military installation in the occupied city of Jaffa. The operation was carried out using a drone model dubbed “Yafa.”
The Houthis also reported a separate, larger-scale operation targeting US naval vessels, including the aircraft carrier USS Truman, in the northern Red Sea. The group said multiple drones were deployed in the strike, which they claimed was retaliation for what they called “American aggression and crimes” committed in various Yemeni provinces.
