Only 25% of Hamas tunnels in Gaza destroyed, says Hebrew media
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have only destroyed about 25 percent of Hamas' tunnel network in Gaza, leaving around 75 percent of the tunnels still intact, according to security sources who spoke to 'Israeli' channel N12, cited by The Jerusalem Post.
The report also revealed that many tunnels between Gaza and Egypt remain operational despite efforts to eliminate them. The Egypt-Gaza border continues to be a point of contention, with 'Israel' refusing to withdraw from the Philadelphia Corridor, a key area for these tunnels.
Defense Minister Israel Katz commented on the situation at a February conference, saying, "I saw with my own eyes quite a few tunnels crossing into Egypt; some were closed, and several were open."
This new information has raised questions about the effectiveness of 'Israel’s' military operations in Gaza and the challenges in dismantling Hamas's underground infrastructure. With a large portion of the tunnels still in use, the security threat remains.
