Unstable weather conditions expected in Jordan

Jordan is currently experiencing unstable weather conditions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

On Friday and Saturday, most areas across the kingdom will see relatively cold weather, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will enjoy mild conditions with high-altitude clouds in southern regions. Winds will be moderate and southeasterly.

Weather alerts

Meteorologists have issued warnings about possible frost formation during early morning hours in mountainous areas, as well as parts of the desert and plains. Additionally, visibility may be reduced due to fog over the high northern peaks.

Relative stability on Saturday

A slight increase in temperatures is expected on Saturday, but weather conditions will remain relatively cold in most areas, with mild conditions persisting in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds will continue to appear, accompanied by moderate southeasterly winds.

Beginning of weather instability

Temperatures are set to rise slightly again on Sunday, bringing relatively warm conditions to most regions. Moderate southeasterly winds will occasionally pick up, stirring dust, particularly in desert areas.

By evening and overnight, the impact of unstable weather will become more evident, with partly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers expected in southern and eastern regions, including Aqaba.

Instability continues into Monday

The unstable weather will persist on Monday, with a slight drop in temperatures. Conditions will be relatively cold and partly cloudy, with scattered rain showers likely, especially in northeastern desert areas and parts of the southeastern regions. Moderate northeasterly winds will occasionally intensify in desert areas, causing dust storms.
