Arson, injury charges filed against suspect in Amman elderly home fire

A judicial source confirmed that the suspect in the fire at the elderly retirement home in Amman has been detained for 15 days pending investigation, with inquiries still ongoing to gather additional evidence.

The source stated that the suspect faces charges of felony arson resulting in death and misdemeanor causing injury related to the incident at the guesthouse.

These charges are in violation of Article 327 of the Penal Code, Article 368 of the same code, and Article 334 of the Penal Code, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
