Death toll from elderly home fire rises to seven
The death toll from the fire at the White Beds Society elderly care home rose to seven on Saturday, following the death of an elderly woman hospitalized due to her injuries.
A source close to the investigation told Roya that a woman in her 80s, one of the victims of the fire, passed away Saturday morning at Al-Bashir Hospital. She was among the patients transferred there after the incident.

Suspect in Custody
On Friday, Public Security Directorate announced that the fire, which claimed the lives of seven women and injured 60 others, was deliberately started by a resident in his 60s. The suspect has been arrested.
Hospital Update
Dr. Ali Al-Abdallat, director of Al-Bashir Hospital, provided an update on the condition of those injured in the fire. He stated that 43 individuals were transferred to Al-Bashir Hospital early Friday, with cases ranging from moderate to severe injuries.
Of the injured, 35 have been discharged after receiving treatment, while seven remain hospitalized. Among them, five are in intensive care, and two are in moderate condition.
