Body found on street in Irbid; authorities arrest suspect

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced on Friday that authorities have apprehended the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of a man in his 40s in the governorate of Irbid, north Jordan.

According to a PSD spokesperson, a report was received Friday by the Irbid Police Directorate regarding the discovery of a body on a public street. The victim had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Police immediately dispatched security teams to the scene, and the body was transferred to the forensic department for examination.

Through investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation Unit and Irbid Police, authorities quickly identified the suspect. The individual was located, apprehended, and a firearm was seized in their possession. The investigation is ongoing.
