Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian sent a letter to the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei concerning the martyrdom of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, shortly after the group confirmed his death during combat with “Israeli” forces in the Gaza Strip.

Pezeshkian praised Sinwar for his “continued struggle and courage until the very last moment of his life, refusing to surrender despite the difficult circumstances.”

In the letter addressed to Khamenei, published by the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Pezeshkian congratulated Khamenei, the oppressed and powerful people of Gaza, and all the freedom-loving people of the world on the “martyrdom of the valiant jihadi commander Yahya Sinwar.”

“Although it was painful and moving for all the freedom-loving people of the world, especially the heroic people of Palestine, at the same time It is a clear sign of the unstoppable crimes of the occupying and child-killing Zionist regime,” Pezeshkian wrote in the letter.
