The Israeli Occupation police confirmed on Thursday that the body of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has been transferred to a morgue in Tel Aviv for additional forensic examinations.

Sinwar’s remains "arrived at the forensic medicine center" for further tests, according to the police statement.

Earlier, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) released video footage capturing the final moments leading up to Sinwar’s assassination.

The footage, recorded by a drone, shows a man believed to be Sinwar sitting on a chair, visibly injured and unable to move. As the drone approached, the individual attempted to fend it off by throwing a stick toward it.

IOF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed the operation, stating that Sinwar was killed on Wednesday in the Tel Sultan area of Rafah.

Hagari described Sinwar as one of the key founders of Hamas' military wing and a mastermind behind the October 7 attack.

He clarified that there were no captives among those who were targeted during the operation.
