Hebrew media: Sinwar moved freely above ground without captives
High-ranking sources in the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stated that Yahya Sinwar had reportedly been moving freely without captives at times, according to a report from the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz.
Previous reports from the Israeli Occupation claimed that Sinwar was using the "Israeli" captives as "human shields". However, the nature of his death as well as recent reports debunks these claims.
Additionally, the report mentioned that Sinwar's colleague, Mohammed Deif, was also not constantly hiding in tunnels.
IOF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed the operation, stating that Sinwar was killed on Wednesday in the Tel Sultan area of Rafah.
Hagari described Sinwar as one of the key founders of Hamas' military wing and a mastermind behind the October 7 attack.
He clarified that there were no captives among those who were targeted during the operation.
