Hezbollah issues statement on Yahya Sinwar
Lebanon’s Hezbollah released a statement today following Hamas’ announcement of the martyrdom of its leader Yahya Sinwar during combat with “Israeli” forces in the Gaza Strip.
Hezbollah expressed its deepest condolences to “our brothers in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, to our Arab and Islamic nation, and to every fighter, resister, and free person in the world on the martyrdom of the leader of Operation Aqsa Typhoon and the head of the Hamas political bureau, the Mujahid brother Yahya Sinwar.”

The statement said Sinwar took on the “the responsibility and leadership mantle from the martyred commander Ismail Haniyeh, continued the journey of resistance, sacrifice, and giving alongside heroic fighters and brave resisters.”
“He stood steadfast in the face of the American agenda and the Zionist occupation, giving his blood for the cause until he achieved martyrdom and reached the highest ranks of honor and human perfection.”
