Jordan evacuates 11 citizens from Lebanon, delivers humanitarian aid
In line with royal directives to ensure the safety of Jordanian citizens in Lebanon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Monday the evacuation of 11 Jordanians via a military aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF).
The aircraft, which also transported 15 tons of humanitarian aid for the Lebanese people, landed at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport. This flight marks the ninth in a series of aid missions, bringing the total assistance provided to Lebanon to 140 tons since the beginning of the Israeli Occupation aggression.
Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, the ministry’s official spokesperson, reported that a total of 90 Jordanians have been evacuated from Lebanon through three RJAF flights. All evacuees registered on the electronic platform established by the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon.
Since early August, approximately 3,305 Jordanians have returned to the Kingdom via Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), with additional citizens crossing back through the Jaber border.
The embassy in Beirut is collaborating with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Middle East Airlines (MEA) to arrange more flights, specifically reserving seats for Jordanians wishing to return home. Additionally, the embassy is facilitating land returns through Syria.
Qudah explained that this evacuation effort is part of a broader plan developed in conjunction with the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF), security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM).
He reassured that the joint crisis cell, composed of various state agencies, continues to work closely with Lebanese authorities to evacuate citizens. The Jordanian embassy is maintaining constant communication with the Jordanian community in Lebanon, confirming that all are safe with no reported injuries. He expressed gratitude to the Lebanese authorities for their cooperation in facilitating the evacuations from Rafic Hariri International Airport.
Qudah urged any Jordanian citizens in Lebanon who wish to leave to register immediately on the electronic platform and to reach out to the ministry or the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon for 24/7 assistance through the following numbers:
