Sunday, the Minister of Interior and the designated Minister of Health, Mazen Al-Faraya, decided to assign Ali Izzat Al-Abdalat, a specialist in internal diseases, as director of the Al-Hussein Salt New Hospital effective immediately.

This decision came following the incident which took place Saturday, wherein the hospital had a oxygen supply shortage in the intensive care department which claimed the lives of seven.

In turn, the previous director, Abdelrazaq Al-Khashman, three of his aides, and a supply officer were arrested and held at a correctional facility pending charges of seven counts of murder by association.
