Musa Al-Maaytah, Chairman of the Independent Election Commission's Board of Commissioners, declared that the parliamentary elections in Jordan will take place on September 10.

During the meeting of the Commission's Board of Directors, Al-Maaytah emphasized the Commission's readiness to conduct the electoral process transparently, ensuring its proper execution and transparent disclosure of results.

Al-Maaytah revealed that the Commission had unveiled the electronic voter registry, showing that the number of eligible voters had exceeded five million, comprising both men and women.

He outlined that 1,600 polling centers had been designated, along with 19 main electoral committees. He mentioned that the Commission would release voter lists allocated to polling stations, while introducing an electronic service allowing citizens to change their polling station within their electoral district. Additionally, a service would be provided for Christian, Circassian, or Chechen voters to change their electoral district if their district doesn't have designated seats for them.

Al-Maaytah highlighted the Commission's collaboration with the Ministry of Interior to simplify the procedure for changing one's place of residence. Experimental elections were conducted in partnership with the Ministries of Education and Youth, simulating the new election law.

He announced the launch of an executive plan to integrate persons with disabilities, setting up 95 model centers manned by volunteers, in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Awareness materials were produced, and the Commission's website was updated to cater to their needs.
