  • Jordan’s airspace remains open, operating at 56 percent of usual overflight traffic.
  • Queen Alia International Airport functioning at 60 percent capacity.

Captain Daifallah Al-Farajat, chairman of the board of commissioners of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, said Jordan’s airspace is open and operating normally despite airspace closures in neighboring countries.

He stressed that all aviation facilities across the Kingdom continue to function efficiently under current regional conditions.

Air traffic figures

Al-Farajat said more than 140 aircraft crossed Jordanian airspace on Sunday, representing 56 percent of normal overflight traffic due to regional restrictions.

At Queen Alia International Airport, about 120 flights, arrivals and departures, were handled, reflecting 60 percent operational capacity after several foreign airlines temporarily suspended routes.

Passenger rights

Al-Farajat urged affected passengers to contact airlines directly to request alternative flights, noting this right is guaranteed under aviation regulations.

If airlines fail to respond, passengers can file formal complaints through the commission’s website at www.carc.gov.jo or via the hotline at +962799522502.

He added that the authority is closely monitoring developments in coordination with relevant agencies to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation in Jordan.
