Jordan has strongly condemned the recent Iranian missile attacks on its territory, calling them an unjustified and serious violation of national security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi emphasized during phone calls with several counterparts that Jordan is taking all necessary measures to protect its citizens, territory, and airspace from further aggression. The minister highlighted the importance of restraint, diplomatic solutions, and dialogue to de-escalate tensions, respect international law, and maintain regional security.
Jordan has coordinated with Arab and international partners, including the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Indonesia, Germany, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden, France, Cyprus, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, and Austria. All confirmed their solidarity with Jordan and support for the steps it is taking to protect its citizens, national security, and sovereignty.
