Gaza’s death toll climbs to 64,605 as health services collapse: Health Ministry
The ongoing ‘Israeli’ offensive in Gaza has brought the death toll to a total of 64,605, with 163,319 others injured, the enclave’s health ministry reported on Tuesday.
A ministry official warned of Gaza’s crippling health system, stressing that the catastrophe is pushing hundreds of thousands of besieged residents to the brink, and calling for the immediate opening of humanitarian corridors.
“Most hospitals are out of service, and the few still operating face severe shortages of medicine, supplies, and fuel,” he said.

The official warned that attempts to evacuate patients from northern Gaza to the south amount to a death sentence, adding: “Patients and the wounded in Gaza City may die during transfer attempts to the south.”
In the past 24 hours, Gaza hospitals recorded 83 dead and 223 wounded, among them 14 killed while awaiting aid and 37 injured.
He concluded with a message affirming that medical teams will remain at their posts to care for the wounded and sick: “Our decision is not to leave Gaza City, no matter the cost.”
