‘Israeli’ raids intensify across West Bank, Jerusalem
Cities and villages across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem witnessed a dangerous escalation overnight and into early Tuesday, marked by large-scale raids by ‘Israeli’ forces and organized settler attacks.
The assaults, stretching from Jenin in the north to Hebron in the south, left several Palestinians injured and triggered violent clashes, amid growing calls from Palestinian groups to step up resistance.
- Settler attacks around Nablus and Ramallah -
Settlers carried out a wave of coordinated attacks targeting multiple areas.
In northwest Nablus, they set fire to the Al-Junaidi nursery in the town of Deir Sharaf, sparking a massive blaze and injuring three Palestinians with burns, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
They also attacked homes in the village of Burin, south of Nablus, and cut down olive trees near the town of Aqraba.
Around Ramallah, settlers smashed Palestinian vehicles near the settlement of Shilo and assaulted other cars at the Ein Ayoub junction west of the city.
- Raids and clashes in Jerusalem -
‘Israeli’ forces stormed Qalandiya and Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, setting off fierce clashes and firing heavy volleys of stun grenades and tear gas that left many injured
The same happened in Ramallah as troops shut down the Atara checkpoint north of the city, detaining residents for hours and firing tear gas at civilians in the Biddu tunnel.
They also blocked ambulances from reaching those wounded in the Khirbet al-Misbah tunnel, forcing medics to carry the injured on foot.
