Lebanese state media reported on Tuesday that a car was struck by an 'Israeli' drone roughly 30km south of Beirut, just a day after 'Israeli' air raids in eastern Lebanon killed five people.

“An enemy drone targeted a little while ago a car… between the towns of Jiyeh and Barja,” the National News Agency stated. An Agence France-Presse (AFP) photographer at the scene observed a burnt-out vehicle near a mosque, with soldiers deployed in the area.

The strike comes amid ongoing 'Israeli' air operations in Lebanon, despite a truce reached last November aimed at ending over a year of hostilities, which included two months of open conflict with Hezbollah.

On Monday, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced that it had targeted several “targets belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization” in the eastern Bekaa Valley, including sites described as training compounds for the group’s elite Radwan force. Lebanon’s health ministry confirmed that these strikes resulted in five fatalities.

Tensions have been escalating further after the Lebanese government, under pressure from the United States, ordered its military in August to draft plans to disarm Hezbollah by year’s end, citing concerns over potential expanded 'Israeli' attacks.

Under the November truce, Hezbollah was required to pull back fighters north of the Litani River, approximately 30km from the 'Israeli' border, while 'Israel' was expected to withdraw its forces but has maintained troops at five "strategic" locations.
