‘Israeli’ Defense Minister orders collective punishment of villages linked to Jerusalem shooters
‘Israeli’ Defense Minister Israel Katz on Tuesday ordered sweeping collective civil sanctions against the families of the shooters who targeted a Jerusalem bus stop on Monday, as well as residents of their villages northwest of the city.
The punitive measures come in response to Monday’s attack that left seven settlers dead.

They include demolishing buildings and revoking hundreds of work and entry permits, further suffocating Palestinian movement as well as livelihood.
In a statement, Katz announced the steps he plans to take:
- Demolition of any building supposedly labeled “illegal” in these villages.
- Revocation of 750 work and entry permits into the territories occupied since 1948.

These measures not only target the attackers’ families but also their wider communities, cementing ‘Israel’s’ long history of imposing collective punishments.
