Hamas ready for comprehensive deal, awaits 'Israeli' response
Hamas said Wednesday it is still waiting for a response from 'Israel' regarding a proposal presented to the movement by mediators on August 18, which Hamas and other Palestinian factions have approved.
In a statement, the movement reiterated its readiness to agree to a comprehensive deal under which all 'Israeli' captives held by the resistance would be released in exchange for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners held by 'Israel'.
The agreement would also include an end to hostilities in Gaza, the withdrawal of all 'Israeli' forces from the territory, the opening of crossings to allow essential supplies into the Gaza Strip, and the start of reconstruction efforts.
Hamas also reaffirmed its support for the establishment of an independent national administration composed of technocrats to manage all affairs in Gaza, taking full responsibility across all sectors immediately.
