‘Israeli’ defense minister claims Hamas spokesman Abu Obaida killed in Gaza strike

‘Israeli’ Defense Minister Israel Katz today claimed that Hamas military spokesman Abu Obaida has been killed by the ‘Israeli’ military in Gaza.

The announcement was made in a post on X, in which Katz offered “congratulations” to the military.

Katz, in his Hebrew-language post, congratulated the ‘Israeli’ military and the Shin Bet on the "perfect execution."

He added that the Hamas spokesman was "sent to meet all the other failures of the axis of evil from Iran, Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen at the bottom of hell."

Katz also wrote that "many more of his partners in crime—the Hamas murderers and rapists—will soon meet him there as the battle for Gaza intensifies." The post did not provide details on the operation.

Additionally, the 'Israeli' army and Shin Bet claimed in a statement that they had assassinated him, with the IOF's account writing: "Abu Obeida can no longer spread his lies, propaganda and terror."

Hamas did not issue an official statement on the matter yet.

On Saturday, the ‘Israeli’ military said they carried out an airstrike on a “senior Hamas operative" in the Gaza City area, in the northern Gaza Strip.

The strike targeted a building in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, leaving behind seven killed and 25 injured.
