Armed clashes erupt in Beirut’s Bourj al-Barajneh camp

Armed clashes erupted late Wednesday in the Bourj al-Barajneh refugee camp in southern Beirut, a Roya correspondent reported.

The sound of machine gun fire and B7 rocket-propelled grenades echoed across nearby neighborhoods.

The cause of the clashes was not immediately clear, but the intensity of the fighting has sparked renewed concerns about instability in Lebanon.
