Major drug bust: Jordan police seize 750,000 pills
In a significant blow to drug trafficking networks, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that its Anti-Narcotics Department has successfully thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotic pills and arrested one of the most dangerous drug dealers linked to regional gangs.

600,000 Narcotic Pills Smuggling Thwarted at Jaber Crossing
Working with Jordanian Customs, security forces at the Jaber Border Crossing (with Syria) successfully foiled a smuggling attempt involving 600,000 narcotic pills.
The operation began when a cargo truck was suspected, leading to a search that revealed the drugs cleverly concealed inside its tires within metal bracelets.
150,000 Narcotic Pills Seized at the Same Crossing
In a separate incident at the same border post, a suspect was arrested after acting suspiciously. He later confessed to hiding 150,000 narcotic pills in two bags in an external area.
Dangerous Drug Dealer Arrested in Aqaba
Anti-narcotics efforts were not limited to the borders. A special investigation team successfully arrested an international drug dealer in Aqaba Governorate. Following a detailed investigation, his links to regional gangs were confirmed. Forces arrested the suspect and seized 189 blocks of hashish that he had hidden in a remote area for trafficking purposes.
