Jordanian authorities respond to gas cylinder explosion in Amman

Civil defense teams and the police dealt with a gas cylinder explosion inside a house in Amman on Wednesday, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD).

The PSD said in a brief statement that the cylinder explosion is being handled in the Al-Nasr area, east of the capital, Amman.

An eyewitness told Roya that a gas cylinder belonging to a foreign worker exploded.

The eyewitness said the incident damaged the floor where the apartment was located and also caused two cars to catch fire.

Civil defense and police teams are continuing to handle the incident in the Al-Nasr area of the capital, where the site has been cordoned off and necessary measures taken.
