Gas leak triggers home explosion in Amman, authorities confirm
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that a report was received just before midnight by the East Amman Police Department about the sound of an explosion and the collapse of part of a house in the Al-Nasr area.
Firefighting and rescue teams from Civil Defense, along with police personnel, immediately responded. They found a fire inside the house, which was extinguished, and part of the house had collapsed.

An Arab national who was inside the house was rescued and is currently receiving medical treatment. Additionally, several vehicles suffered material damage.
The spokesperson confirmed that investigative teams, after inspecting the house, attributed the explosion and resulting fire to a gas leak from a cylinder inside one of the rooms. The investigation is still ongoing.
