Gold prices stable in Jordanian market Wednesday

Gold prices remained stable in the Jordanian market on Wednesday, according to the daily bulletin issued by the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry Shops.

The price of one gram of 21-karat gold, the most traded in the local market, stood at JOD 68.40 for selling and JOD 66.20 for buying.

The syndicate’s official pricing for Wednesday also listed the following rates per gram:

  • 24-karat gold: JOD 78.40 selling, JOD 76.00 buying
  • 18-karat gold: JOD 60.80 selling, JOD 56.30 buying
  • 14-karat gold: JOD 46.20 selling, JOD 41.60 buying

As for gold coins:

  • The Rashadi lira was priced at JOD 478.8 selling and JOD 463.4 buying.
  • The English lira was priced at JOD 547.2 selling and JOD 529.6 buying.

The syndicate stressed that its daily bulletin serves as the official reference for all goldsmith shops across Jordan. It also noted that the announced prices apply to raw gold only and do not include the “making charges” added when purchasing finished jewelry.
