Massive jump: Jordan's exports to Syria rise 405% in first half of 2025
Jordan's exports to Syria saw a significant increase in the first half of the current year, jumping by 404.8% compared to the same period last year, according to foreign trade data from the Department of Statistics.

The figures show that the value of Jordanian exports to Syria reached 106 million dinars ($149 million) in the first half of 2025, compared to about 21 million dinars ($29.6 million) in the same period of 2024.
Jordan's imports from Syria also rose by 76.9% during the same period, reaching about 46 million dinars ($64.8 million), up from 26 million dinars ($36.6 million) last year.
Construction Sector Leads Exports
Jordanian exports to Syria are primarily concentrated in the construction and building materials industries, including:
- Cement
- Iron
- Marble
- Tiles
- Paints
- Pipes
Exports also include electrical equipment, as well as food, agricultural, and chemical products.
Relations between Jordan and Syria flourished after the ouster of former President Bashar al-Assad in the culmination of the Syrian revolution in December 2024.
