No serious injuries have been reported.
Eyewitnesses said that an 'Israeli' special unit entered the city in civilian vehicles with Palestinian license plates, quickly spread across the Al-Manara Roundabout and surrounding commercial streets, followed by large military reinforcements, effectively paralyzing movement in the city center.
Dozens of Palestinian youths took to the streets, throwing stones and empty bottles at 'Israeli' vehicles securing the special forces’ withdrawal.
'Israeli' forces responded with rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas, injuring several youths with contusions and causing cases of suffocation. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported treating multiple injuries on the scene.
