Unseasonably hot weather continues across Jordan this weekend
Jordan is experiencing unseasonably hot summer weather during the weekend, with temperatures on Saturday rising 2 to 3°C above the seasonal average, according to a report by the Jordan Meteorological Department.
The forecast indicates hot conditions in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, while relatively hot weather will prevail in most other regions, including the capital Amman and the highlands.
Saturday and Sunday forecast
On Saturday, relatively hot conditions are expected across most areas, with northwesterly moderate winds occasionally becoming active. On Sunday, little change in temperatures is forecast, keeping conditions relatively hot in the highlands and plains, and very hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Northwesterly winds are expected to become active at times, raising dust in desert areas.
Temperatures to ease next week
Conditions are expected to improve at the start of the week, with a slight drop in temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. Weather will return to typical summer levels in most regions, though remaining hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Low clouds may appear during this period, with moderate northwesterly winds occasionally becoming active.
