Hamas condemns 'Israeli' minister’s expansionist statements on Jordan River
Hamas has issued a strong condemnation of statements made by the 'Israeli' Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, who claimed that both banks of the Jordan River are part of what he called “the Land of Israel.”
In a press statement, Hamas official Izzat al-Risheq described the remarks as “false and hostile,” saying they reflect 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “delusions” and ambitions for what is referred to as “Greater Israel.”
“These positions reflect the enemy’s expansionist ambitions, and its threat is not confined to Palestine alone but endangers all the countries and peoples of the region,” Risheq said.

He called for a unified and serious Arab and Islamic response to counter what he described as “Zionist arrogance and conceit,” emphasizing the need to support the Palestinian people, reinforce their steadfastness, and back their resistance.
Risheq warned that failure to respond could lead to irreversible consequences, stating, “before the day comes when it is said: we suffered the same fate as Gaza.”
