A new humanitarian aid convoy departed Jordan's capital Amman today, bound for the Gaza Strip. The operation is a collaboration with World Central Kitchen and the World Food Program.

The convoy comprises 50 trucks carrying essential food items, flour, and baby formula. It's part of ongoing relief efforts by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to meet urgent humanitarian needs in the strip, which faces a severe deterioration in living conditions and critical shortages of food and basic supplies.

The aid includes diverse food components for hot meals distributed within Gaza by World Central Kitchen teams, as well as quantities of flour, grains, and oils. These supplies will help meet the needs of thousands of families.

This convoy is the latest in a series of joint efforts between Jordan and international humanitarian organizations, underscoring Jordan's consistent humanitarian role in supporting the Palestinian people, especially during crises.

This marks the fifth convoy sent in cooperation with international organizations within 10 days.

The previous four convoys included 147 trucks.

On Wednesday, the organization managed to send a single convoy of 36 trucks into the Gaza Strip via the Zikim border crossing after World Central Kitchen confirmed its readiness to secure the entry and distribution of aid to residents in Gaza.
