Jordan: Temperatures to dip slightly, hot weather persist

Temperatures are forecast to drop slightly Thursday across Jordan, with relatively hot weather expected in mountainous areas and plains, and hot conditions elsewhere. Moderate northwesterly winds will pick up occasionally, potentially stirring dust in desert regions.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, Friday will see similar conditions: relatively hot in the highlands and plains, and hot across other areas. Moderate northwesterly winds are also expected, occasionally causing dust in desert areas.

Temperatures are predicted to rise slightly on Saturday, bringing hot weather to most regions and very hot conditions to the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will continue.

Sunday will remain hot in most areas, and very hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate northwesterly winds sometimes strengthening.

Today's high and low temperatures across the kingdom range from 19 to 43 degrees Celsius. The southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba will experience the highest temperatures, while the northern highlands will see the lowest.
