US President Donald Trump sharply criticized the ongoing trial of 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling it a “political witch hunt” and warning that it could jeopardize sensitive negotiations with Hamas and Iran.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump described Netanyahu as a “war hero” and praised his past cooperation with the US in countering the Iranian nuclear threat. He also noted that Netanyahu is currently working on a deal with Hamas aimed at securing the release of captives.

“How is it possible that the Prime Minister of Israel can be forced to sit in a courtroom all day long, over NOTHING (Cigars, Bugs Bunny Doll, etc.)” Trump wrote. “This travesty of ‘justice’ will interfere with both Iran and Hamas negotiations.”

Drawing parallels to his own legal battles, Trump called the case against Netanyahu “insanity” and claimed it was driven by “out-of-control prosecutors.” He also pointed to the substantial financial and military support the United States provides 'Israel', saying, “We are not going to stand for this.”

Trump concluded with a call to end the trial, writing, “LET BIBI GO, HE’S GOT A BIG JOB TO DO!”

The comments come amid renewed debate in 'Israel' over Netanyahu’s corruption trial, which critics argue is politically motivated while others maintain the legal process must continue regardless of ongoing regional conflicts.
