Trump slams report linking him to $30 billion Iran deal as ‘ridiculous’
US President Donald Trump lashed out at media reports suggesting he planned to offer Iran USD 30 billion to develop non-military nuclear facilities, calling the claim “ridiculous” and branding it a “hoax.”
In a post published Saturday on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “Who in the Fake News Media is the SleazeBag saying that ‘President Trump wants to give Iran $30 Billion to build non-military Nuclear facilities.’ Never heard of this ridiculous idea. It’s just another HOAX put out by the Fake News in order to demean. These people are SICK!!!”
Trump did not name a specific media outlet or reporter in the post, but he categorically denied any involvement in such a plan, distancing himself from suggestions that he would support financial incentives for Iran’s nuclear program, even if restricted to peaceful purposes.
