Royal Tank Museum to mark Jordan’s independence day with live shows
The Royal Tank Museum will mark the 79th anniversary of the Kingdom’s independence on Sunday with a vibrant program of cultural activities and military displays.
The museum will open its doors to the public free of charge from 10 AM to 7 PM as part of a national celebration designed to reflect the values of independence and promote national pride.
Tamam Khasawneh, Director of Operations at the museum, said the celebration will include a temporary exhibition documenting the independence era, interactive activities for children and families, and performances by the Jordan Armed Forces Band.
Outdoor performances will feature a taekwondo show by the Military Sports Federation team, a silent drill by the Royal Guard’s infantry unit, and a dedicated play area for children.
At the tank track, the festivities will include performances by the Public Security Directorate’s band, a skydiving show by special forces, live demonstrations of tanks and armored vehicles, and horse and camel-mounted displays.
The celebration will also feature a musical performance by Jordanian artist Saad Abu Tayeh, and conclude with traditional Jordanian folkloric acts.
