A 35-year-old man died early Thursday after a fire broke out on the second floor of a two-story building in the Sahaab area of Amman, according to the East Amman Civil Defense Directorate.
In a statement, the directorate said fire and ambulance crews responded immediately to the scene and were able to bring the fire under control. The body was transferred by emergency teams to Al-Tutanji Government Hospital.
Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
