Fire breaks out at UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s London home

Authorities have launched an investigation into a fire that broke out early Monday at the north London residence of UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

The fire, which occurred at around 1:35 AM (GMT+1) on May 12, caused damage to the entrance of the home. No injuries were reported.

According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police, officers were called to the scene by the London Fire Brigade: “On Monday 12 May at 1:35 AM, police were alerted by the London Fire Brigade to reports of a fire at a residential address. Officers attended the scene. Damage was caused to the property's entrance, nobody was hurt.”

Emergency services responded quickly, and the situation was brought under control. A police cordon remains in place around the property as forensic teams and investigators work to determine the cause of the blaze.

 

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the incident is being treated as suspicious.
