“Israel” increasingly believes Mohammad Sinwar is dead: Hebrew media
The “Israeli” security establishment increasingly believes that Muhammad Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza and brother of Yahya Sinwar, has been killed in an “Israeli” airstrike – according to a senior source quoted by Kan News.
“There are no signs of life from him,” the report said.
“The same applies to at least 10 senior Hamas figures who were with him on the spot, such as Brigadier General Rafah Muhammad Shabana.”
No definitive confirmation has been made, but it is “close”, the source said to Kan.
Muhammad Sinwar, who assumed a more prominent role in Hamas following his brother Yahya’s death, was said to be operating from a command center beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis – according to the “Israeli” military claims.
On 13 May 2025, “Israeli” airstrikes hit the compound of the Gaza European Hospital, killing at least 28 people and injuring at least 40 others.
