“Israeli” soldier killed in Gaza building collapse triggered by explosives

An “Israeli” soldier was killed during battles in the south Gaza Strip, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said in a statement.

He is identified as Staff Sgt. Danilo Mocanu, of the 7th Armored Brigade’s 82nd Battalion.

According to the army’s probe, cited by Hebrew media, he was killed after an explosive device detonated and led to the collapse of the building he was in.

The bomb was situated on the top floor, which led to the entire building’s collapse.

A second soldier was with Mocanu, he was lightly injured.
