Temperatures near average Tuesday, notable rise expected Thursday

Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to hover around seasonal averages across most of Jordan, with moderate weather prevailing in much of the country.

However, relatively hot conditions are anticipated in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba regions. Northwesterly moderate winds will occasionally become active in the afternoon, particularly in desert areas.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, a slight increase in temperatures is forecast for Wednesday. Warm conditions will dominate most regions, while the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience hotter weather. Winds will shift between northeasterly and northwesterly, remaining moderate in speed.

On Thursday, the kingdom is expected to see a significant temperature rise, with highs climbing 3 to 5°C above seasonal norms. The weather will be relatively hot over the highlands and hot in the rest of the regions. Winds will be southeasterly and moderate, occasionally stirring dust in desert areas before gradually shifting to northwesterly in the afternoon.

Friday will bring a drop in temperatures, returning to average levels. The weather will be warm across most areas and hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly moderate winds are expected to pick up at times, stirring dust in desert regions.

  • West Amman: 27°C / 13°C
  • Northern highlands: 23°C / 11°C
  • Sharah highlands: 25°C / 12°C
  • Badia regions: 35°C / 16°C
  • Plains: 29°C / 15°C
  • Northern Jordan Valley: 35°C / 17°C
  • Southern Jordan Valley: 36°C / 23°C
  • Dead Sea: 35°C / 20°C
  • Gulf of Aqaba: 36°C / 22°C
