Qassam Brigades announce ambush of six 'Israeli' soldiers in Rafah

Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released a statement today, Sunday, detailing a series of successful operations against 'Israeli' forces in Gaza on Saturday.

The operation began with a complex ambush targeting an 'Israeli' engineering unit. Qassam fighters reportedly lured the unit to a previously planted explosive tunnel, where they engaged in close-quarters combat, killing several 'Israeli' soldiers.

They then detonated the tunnel, causing casualties among the soldiers, both dead and wounded.

After the tunnel explosion, Qassam fighters advanced and targeted two 'Israeli' tanks with "Yassin 105" missiles. They claim to have observed 'Israeli' forces recovering the bodies of the deceased and evacuating the wounded from the area near the al-Zahraa Mosque in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
